Departmental Liaison for the San Francisco Office of Racial Equity

Claudia Flores is the Departmental Liaison for the San Francisco Office of Racial Equity, a division of the SF Human Rights Commission. The Office of Racial Equity (ORE) was created to address structural and institutional racism in the City and County of San Francisco’s internal practices and systems and external delivery of services to the public. Prior to joining HRC, she was a Principal Planner and the Equity Plan Manager with the San Francisco Planning Department leading the development and implementation of SF Planning’s Racial & Social Equity Action Plan.  She also worked for Urban Habitat in Oakland as a Housing and Transportation Justice Program Associate on local and regional campaigns advancing equity, social and environmental justice in housing, transportation and land use policy. Claudia has a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in International Development and dual Master’s Degrees from Princeton University in Public and International Affairs/Policy and in Urban Planning.
